Death Battle: Ghostface vs Fisherman Fight Script
Death Battle: Ghostface vs Fisherman Fight Script Concept
This script contains fictional descriptions of graphic violence and light depictions of horror violence.
Boomstick: It’s time for another spoooooky DEATH BATTLE!!!
Behind GF, a shadow of a tall figure wearing a fisherman’s hat is coming up towards them
GF: “Which window am I about to break open, so I can gut you like a fish?”
GF: “Huh? What the f-”
They suddenly freeze, as we get a quick flash and the porch lamp has suddenly
been smashed.
GF flails their pocket knife around briefly, trying to find the person who suddenly snuck behind them.
We cut to a medium shot further away, as we see Fisherman kick the body away, pulling their hook towards them as the shack’s wall splatters with a stream of blood.
This Ghostface has torn black robes, with a decrypt, aged mask that has a few spots of blood on it. They do the trademark one stroke wiping off the blood from their knife, and then pocket it.
They pull out a phone and dial a number, just getting ringing.
Ghostface: “Pick up the phone placeholder name, dammit…what are you doing…”
They start to walk into the shack, the door already half-open. There is a set of oars on the ground and a fishing harpoon hung up on the wall. An empty brown boat sits in the middle of the room. Ghostface starts to walk in, tracking a little water on the ground with their feet. GF looks around, only to finally pause.
On the other side of the shack, the closed door slowly creaks open. No one is there. GF looks down and sees the now deceased GF’s arm on the ground in front of the other door. With heavy thumps on the wooden floor, Fisherman walks into the frame of the door and steps in. We get an angle referencing the first IKWYD, as Fisherman lowers his hook, and it briefly glistens.
They start running forward through the shack, as Fisherman starts moving again
preparing to strike.
They start to trade a few blows between the knife and the hook, with Fisherman getting a small
slash on Ghostface’s left hand.
Ghostface starts to act more aggressively, trying to get in more direct stabs over parrying the hook. They manage to bury the knife into Fisherman’s right arm, making him stumble a little.
They go to try and pull it back out, but Fisherman grabs the arm with his free hand and throws GF backwards, knocking into the leftmost wall with the knife still impaled in his arm.
Ghostface quickly straightens themself back out and goes for one of the oars lying on the ground. Fisherman yanks the knife out of them and tosses it on the ground near the door, as we see from an outside pov as the rain continues.
He turns back to get a direct first person shot of GF swinging the heavy wooden oar in his face, smacking him hard across the cheek and forcing him to take a knee.Ghostface continues their assault with two heavy swings to the back, which breaks the oar in half. The music swells briefly here to indicate the fury in GF’s assault.
They take the bottom half of it and bury it into the Fisherman’s back in a close up shot, causing him to angrily grunt. -Draw
He raises his kneeling leg and kicks Ghostface in the knee, who stumbles back a little. Ghostface stabilizes themself with another angry yell.
Ghostface: “Why won’t you DIE!” (clearly enraged at this point)
Fisherman fully pulls himself up and charges at Ghostface, grabbing him with both of them falling into the shack’s fishing boat.
Ghostface looks up after having fully fallen backwards into the boat, as we see Fisherman is already standing back up. We get a POV of GF looking up at Fisherman, whose eyes suddenly glow red. We still can’t see the rest of him.
Fisherman stands over Ghostface who is struggling to get out of the boat, taking a few good swipes and grazing the mask. Ghostface is on the ropes but desperately searching for a way out.
Ghostface finally tenses up their right arm, and slams hard into the side of the boat, rocking it enough for Fisherman to flail and try to keep balanced.
Ghostface takes advantage of this to lift themselves out of the boat, shaking it further, and races towards the wall behind them.
Ghostface grabs at a rope tied to the wall, slashing it with a pocket knife they pull out of their pocket, obviously a spare. They throw the knife away and desperately yank on it, causing a heavy fishing net to fall down on Fisherman.
As Fisherman struggles in the net, having landed back on the floor, Ghostface runs to the other side of the shack and grabs the fishing harpoon that was hung up on the wall.
They race over to the tangled Fisherman, desperately slamming it through either his foot or the side of his body. More frustrated roars of pain ensue. Fisherman pivots around trying to remove it and free himself.
Ghostface then races over to a large padlocked storage cabinet that says “For Emergencies” on it. They smash the lock with a heavy stone and pull it open, revealing a shotgun and a small box with four shells.
Fisherman uses his hook and raw strength to completely tear through the fishing net, and turns around to almost be hit by a close range shotgun blast from Ghostface. The shot smashes through the top half of the far most wall of the building, blasting a massive hole in it and causing some of the bottom planks to fall forward, completely broken by the attack. (Chekov’s gun moment)
Ghostface is clearly panting rapidly, and just barely unloads the gun long enough for them to get a shot directly in Fisherman’s large belly as he quickly walks towards them. It knocks him backwards long enough for Ghostface to get a second shot off on his head, blasting his hat off. Fisherman is knocked to the ground before we can see his face, and lies still for a few seconds.
Ghostface lowers the shotgun, and prepares to leave out the door their partner is still dead in front of. But as they’re walking out, Fisherman suddenly appears behind them, stabbing him square in the back with the hook. Ghostface lets out a howl like a wounded animal, and Fisherman pulls it out.
Ghostface sweeps around like his partner did, quickly firing the fourth and final shot. But nothing is there. He claws at his robe and mask frantically, but can’t get a good grip on it. Fisherman appears again out of absolutely nowhere, and slashes at GF’s cheek with such force it rips the mask off, with it landing on the floor.
We get our first look at Ghostface’s human face, which now has a fresh scar underneath his right eye. He looks scattered, bewildered, and absolutely livid. He is completely sinking into madness from the long fight and the supernatural teleportations from Fisherman. There’s a lot of Stu and Billy style reactions here. He’s dropped the shotgun, and is looking around desperately, only to finally freeze in a face of shock.
(Similar to this, eyes twitching and palms shaking.)
(The music completely cuts off for the reveal here.)
We get a full look at the zombie-like face of the Fisherman, once Ben Willis, who glares evilly at Ghostface and adjusts his hat again. His right eye is an empty white pupil, and he looks like a gray-faced Frankenstein monster.
Human Ghostface: “Th-this isn’t how it works! This isn’t how any of it works!!”
Fisherman starts to give an evil smile, and then suddenly walks backward into the darkened shadows and vanishes, with only his red eyes glowing again able to be seen.
Ghostface walks forward a little after grabbing his lost buck knife off the ground, continuing to wildly dart his body around the room. Images of the Fisherman keep appearing and disappearing, swinging at him, completely overwhelming him. He finally contorts his face into a look of sheer anger and desperation, screaming his last words.
Human Ghostface: “What are you waiting for, huh!?
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?”
With this reference, Fisherman finally charges at Ghostface and grabs him like a football player towards the damaged wall that was blasted open earlier, and as we cut to a different shot, a darkly shaded Ghostface is shoved onto the spiky broken planks by the Fisherman, impaling him at least twice.
Ghostface’s eye twitches as he starts to drool blood at the mouth, and a look of intense pain and almost childlike sorrow is all over his torn, bloodied body. His hand opens as the knife drops to the ground with a thud.
Doing a cut from further away while still showing the kill means we could use a dummy, fully dressed like Human Ghostface to impale him, then cutting to either a slight close up or a new costume that emulates that he’s been impaled. This would be much closer to the ground, not suspended midair by the planks.
(Potential addition; Fisherman delivers the Coupe De Grace with his fish hook shoved up Ghostface’s lower jaw and cheek to give us a combination of the most famous deaths in the IKWYDLS films. This is easier done in a 3D episode and could be a decapitation if you felt the need to really go all out for the gore of the death. This could be CGI if we had to but it definitely could be a close up shot.)
Either way, Ghostface slumps forward and stops twitching, and Fisherman walks out the same door he entered in the fishing shack.
A gust of wind blows the shack’s door closed behind him, with words written in fresh blood on the window that read:
Fin.
